The adidas ZX franchise is back. After a slow revival starting in 2017, the ZX series is back in full force, with everyone’s favorite, the ZX 8000, leading the way for 2020. Check out the latest colorways, “Vapour Pink” and “Turquoise”, available later this week.
The adidas ZX 8000 has seen a new lease on life over the last year, as the Three Stripes reintroduced the ZX franchise’s most beloved model to their arsenal. The past five years or so have also seen the reintroduction of plenty of other retro and brand new ZX silhouettes, but none have hit home quite like the 8000. Particularly, the new 2020 version of the fan-favorite sneaker, which has been upgraded to include a pod of adidas’ Boost cushioning in the heel for added comfort. Now, with Spring and Summer right around the corner, the Three Stripes are leaning into some more colorful versions of the ZX 8000, which are set to drop in the next few weeks. First up, the “Vapour Pink” iteration paints the shoe in a multitude of pastel tones, beginning with the namesake pink shade for the nylon base layer. Then, the 8000’s signature overlays come in pale yellow leather, with burnt orange suede poking out from in between. Other accents include varying shades of blue and green, while it all rests on top of the plain white midsole. The second colorway is much simpler, beginning with a white base layer and leather overlays before adding baby suede mid-layers as well as purple Three Stripe motifs.
ADIDAS ZX 8000 SPRING 2020 RELEASE INFORMATION
adidas’ latest colorways of the fan-favorite ZX 8000 silhouette have not yet been announced for release, but they are expected to hit shelves in the next two weeks. The “Vapour Pink” and “Turquoise” color schemes will be available from both adidas and select retailers like 43Einhalb for $130.
