The adidas ZX 420 is seemingly making a comeback in 2021, with adidas releasing several special-edition colorways in the past few months. Now, the 420 has landed in a new in-line color scheme, decorating the shoe in “Feather Grey” tones.
The adidas ZX series has made a return in force over the past few years, though there are a number of models the Three Stripes seem to be keeping tightly under wraps. While the later ‘0000 series models have been the focus of adidas’ attention in recent years, some of the earlier ‘000 models have popped up on occasion. This year, it appears that 1988’s ZX 420 is set to take the spotlight for 2021, initially teased through a collaboration with Hanon, a special-edition pair for Chinese New Year, last month’s 4/20 release, and now, this “Feather Grey” iteration we are taking a look at today. Landing at retailers around the globe on an intermittent basis, this ZX 420 has yet to officially launch stateside, though they are readily available from other source. Beginning with a two-tone grey mesh base layer, this new color scheme features an array of grey shades across its suede and canvas overlays, culminating in a perfect neutral look.

adidas Originals upcoming pair of the classic ZX 420 have not yet been announced for release, though they have already begun to arrive at retailers around the globe like SneakersNStuff.
