One of the quieter releases of 2020, adidas blended the timeless ZX silhouette with an updated new look and Boost technology, creating the brand new ZX 2K Boost sneaker which is set to release in a vibrant “Solar Yellow” colorway.
Since it’s debut in 1984, adidas’ ZX line has always been something special. Always adding reminiscent tones to their silhouettes, adidas took this year to create something very special. While retro sneakers have been going strong over the past couple of years, they have tooled with updating the ZX line but for 2020 they went up a notch and added their coveted Boost technology to the ZX upper creating a mash-up of two perfect proportions.
This edition arrives as a direct nod to 80s trainers with a vibrant colorway of Solar Yellow and Hi-Res Red. Featuring multiple layers of mesh and plastic overlays, the upper is bathed in a gradient effect that showcases Solay Yellow on the heels fading to Hi-Res Red on the toes. Black detailing is then featured on The Three Stripes branding on the side paneling as well as accents on the tongue and heel. The updated lacing system along with the Boost midsole and rubber encased heel all arrive in Hi-Res Red while a black rubber outsole brings the design to a nice finish.

This Solar Yellow/ Hi-Res Red adidas ZX 2K Boost will be released exclusively via the adidas app on July 29th, 2020 via a registration release that will close on the 29th at 7:30 AM PST. The retail price is set for $150.
