adidas Originals’ holiday-themed releases are always a treat for sneakerheads, and this year’s Easter sneaker release is especially sweet. Themed after ‘Schokohase’, or chocolate bunnies, the ZX 10000 takes on a smooth brown look for this limited-edition drop.
Easter sneaker releases are usually quite predictable ahead of their annual releases. Most of the themed shoes meant to celebrate the Spring holiday do so through classic Easter themes, pastel colors, and soft textiles like canvas and linen. However, this year, adidas Originals is switching things up a bit, opting instead for edible (chocolate) bunnies instead of cute, fluffy ones. Inspired directly by Schokohase, the German name for gold foil-wrapped chocolate bunnies, this project presents the ZX 10000 in a delightful brown color scheme for the special occasion. Constructed from mesh and premium pigskin suede, this upper of this ZX 10k is entirely dipped in chocolate brown, from heel to toe, and covering every piece of the shoe, while the midsole breaks things up a bit by separating into white, tan, and brown sections. The limited-edition box is also in on the theme, featuring an all-over gold foil print to mimic the chocolate bunnies’ wrapper. Finally, the debossed outline of a rabbit on the heels completes the “Schokohase” adidas ZX 10000.

adidas Originals’ chocolate bunny-themed ZX 10000 for Easter 2021 is scheduled to release just before Easter 2021 on April 3rd. The brown pigskin suede colorway of the latest ZX model will be available from both adidas and select retailers with the usual price tag of $140.
