Kanye West and adidas are off to a slow start this year, so far releasing one shoe via preorder. However, with word of Ye’s Season 7 coming soon, an official release date has finally been announced for the “Core Black” adidas Yeezy Powerphase.

The adidas Yeezy Powerphase debuted in 2017 to mixed reviews from sneaker lovers. Some were pleased with Kanye’s revival of the classic 80’s adidas silhouette, while others were unhappy with the departure from the popular Yeezy Boost line. After the launch of the initial white colorway, praise for the shoe grew, as well as the resale value. Later on, two colorways were leaked online, one grey variation and one black. The grey shoe saw a wider release than the original, which also seems to be the plan for the upcoming “Core Black” colorway. This colorway sees the supple leather upper dyed in a deep black tone, highlighted by the “Calabasas” logo in gold foil, as well as the adidas Originals logo stitched near the eyelets in green and red. The shoe’s retail price caught many by surprise because at $120 the shoe is the cheapest Yeezy branded footwear on the market.

ADIDAS YEEZY POWERPHASE “CORE BLACK” RELEASE DATE

The latest addition to Kanye West’s lineup of the adidas Yeezy Powerphase is set to arrive at retailers on March 17th, 2018. The shoe will retain the usual retail price of $120, and paired with the wider availability of this model, these will be one of the easier Yeezys to cop. Expect the shoes to be available directly from adidas, as well as YeezySupply and select adidas Consortium accounts.
