Kanye West took to Twitter to show off a glimpse inside his Yeezy Headquarters which showcased a variety of different colorways of the best Yeezy models but one stood out more among the rest which is an apparent first look at the adidas Yeezy x D Rose concept.
Rumored for a couple of years now, there was always something circulating regarding a Kanye West and Derrick Rose shoe. While surfacing in the early parts of 2013 when D Rose was in his prime and captivating the entire NBA fan base and Ye was just starting out with adidas. Now years later we finally have an early look at what to expect from the collaboration, and for many, it is nothing like we expected.
Taking form as one of Kanye’s newest projects, the adidas Yeezy D Rose appears to be taking a clog form. Arriving much like Ye’s newest designs, the shoe is all one piece and arrives as organic and futuristic as possible. The entire upper features a new look to the YZY lineup though, with an upper that can be compared to as displaying a human rib form, putting the construction together one layer at a time for a durable frame. The shoe even displays a bone-like colorway to make the inspiration look even more feasible. Another interesting aspect of the new look from Kanye is the 350 V2-like heel being showcased on this new Clog’s toe cap, for a full circle design. It’ll be interesting to see what the final product is because, with Ye, the design can take a giant turn at any given time.
For now, no release details were given about the shoe, but we expect more details to arrive sometime in the near future with a release going down following that via normal Yeezy release retailers, adidas.com and Yeezysupply.com.
