When Kanye first rejoined social media last year, his first order of business was to take over as the main Yeezy leak account. The Chicago rapper started by revealing the Yeezy Boost 700 V2 in a “Tephra” colorway that will finally see a release this Spring.

The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 retains much of the same profile as the last year’s original iteration. The new version uses the same outsole as before and reworks the entire upper for a more layered look. The V2 is made primarily from mesh, the new iteration is much lighter and thinner in profile than its predecessor. The toe box on the new model is slightly more jagged, and the sides feature long strips for support just above the sole, similar to the Yeezy 500. The lacing system is similar to the original, though the central eyelets are instead loopholes. Three new stripes have been added to the quarter panel in reflective 3M. Finally, the adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 is completed by several suede layers on the heel to provide a more stable, cupped feel, as opposed to the single piece on the original model.

This week, we took another early look at an upcoming Yeezy Boost 700 V2 colorway. First leaked by Kanye himself when he initially rejoined Twitter last year, the “Cement” colorway was technically the first 700 V2 we ever saw. Since then, the silhouette has been altered slightly, most noticeably in the choice of mesh throughout the now more textured upper. The “Cement” look covers the 700 V2 in a variety of grey and brown tones, balancing perfectly between light and dark.

ADIDAS YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “TEPHRA” RELEASE INFORMATION

UPDATE (May 10th, 2019): The next colorway of the adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 is now scheduled to make finally release on June 15th, 2019. In addition to the newly rumored release date, TheYeezyMafia also announced a name change for the colorway, swapping “Cement” for “Tephra”. There is only one source of this news at the moment, which has caused some confusion for us as adidas recently released a new silhouette, also titled the Tephra, so we’ll just have to wait and see which is which. The new Yeezy 700 will likely retain the shoe’s $300 price point, and release from both adidas and select retailers.

UPDATE: The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 “Tephra” just released this morning 6/15 and is still available from both adidas.com and yeezysupply.com in select sizes for a retail price of $300. No waiting rooms, no paying resell prices, no hassle so do not hesitate to buy. As always follow JustFreshKicks for more adidas Yeezy news.
