Yeezy Mafia just took to twitter to announce a new variation the Yeezy 500. The utility inspired sneaker looks to take on a high version with the debut “Slate” colorway.
When it comes to Kanye, expect the unexpected. The Yeezy 500 was rumored to be a model that would never see a release again as the last colorway was expected to be the Salt Version. Well, that changed this Summer as Yeezy Mafia has announced a couple of new colorways that will be releasing very soon and now the sneaker looks to take on a high-top edition now too.
Very similar to the Yeezy Desert Boots, the Yeezy 500 takes on the same normal look that we all love but has taken on a higher cut. Perfect for the wintertime, this Yeezy 500 will support your feet and keep them warm through the coldest of blizzards. Swapping out neoprene for the usual mesh, the upper is composed of more durable material to aide in the utility theme that arrives in the “Slate” blue colorway. Black suede overlays add texture and contrast to the silhouette as a creamy adiPRENE midsole finishes off the look with a lighter take.
