The adidas Ultraboost has taken on a number of new shapes, materials, and technologies over the last year, but adidas still has the ability to surprise us. This week, the Three Stripes unveiled a new Ultraboost DNA, swapping the upper with a new ClimaCool knit.

The adidas Ultraboost has become a canvas for experimentation by the Three Stripes in recent years, acting as a testing ground for merging the brand’s various technologies, testing new materials, and more. This experimentation frequently takes the form of merging past adidas models with the sleek shape of the Ultraboost, creating a new hybrid version blurring the lines between performance and lifestyle. This week, adidas has unveiled another addition to this growing collection that already includes the likes of the Superstar and ZX lines. Now, adidas is recalling the famous ClimaCool 1 silhouette from 2002, adapting the original remarkably breathable upper technology to fit the classic Ultraboost midsole. The result is a sleek, triple-white iteration of the Ultraboost, featuring a knit upper that features plenty of loose-knit, gap-like area to allow air to move freely through the shoes. The cage system features a new TPU overlay to mimic the original ClimaCool 1, while other details like a clear outsole tread and ClimaCool tongue branding complete the look.
