adidas’ Ultraboost DNA sneaker has been used quite frequently to channel the styles of past adidas sneakers. This week, the silhouette is getting a new ZX-inspired makeover, launching in three colorways borrowed directly from the most beloved ZX footwear.

adidas Originals Ultraboost 1.0 DNA has quickly become one of the brand’s go-to canvasses to celebrate some of it’s legacy footwear, decking out the performance running shoe with colorways inspired by adidas classics. This week, the Originals team quietly unveiled one of the most exciting homage colorways yet, painting the Ultraboost 1.0 in a trio of ZX-inspired color schemes. Pulled directly from the beloved ZX 6000, 8000, and 9000, each look has been adapted to fit the Ultraboost’s less busy uppers, with the knit body taking on the each shoe’s main color, while the Three Stripes and other details add more context around each shoe. The ZX 6000-inspired Ultraboost mixes a white upper with cream detailing and some dashes of bright colors, while the ZX 8000-inspired “Aqua” colorway goes all out, pitting the Primeknit upper in light blue before adding healthy doses of both purple and yellow. Finally, the ZX 9000 pair features a mint-colored body with white heel cups and a yellowed Boost midsole.
