The adidas Ultra Boost comes in all shapes and sizes in 2022, coming a long way from its running roots. This week, we have an early look at a new “Acid Wash” iteration of the Ultra Boost 5.0 DNA, coming soon.

The adidas Ultra Boost continues to arrive in a myriad of new colors and styles on a regular basis, a good sign that the silhouette is still one of the Three Stripes most popular offerings. Currently, the Originals team has taken the original Ultra Boost shapes under their wing, leaving the advanced performance models to the Running division. So, the Ultra Boost 5.0 DNA is the current canvas for the shoe, recalling the original construction of the 1.0 but with more opportunities for color blocking and special knit patterns. The latest new look for the 5.0 DNA refreshed the Primeknit upper with a new acid wash look, mixing two shades of brown for the bleach-dyed-black look.

The adidas Ultra Boost 5.0 DNA in the new “Acid Wash” style has not yet been announced for release, though we are expecting them to land on shelves sometime in the coming weeks. The dark new look for the classic Ultra Boost will likely be available from both adidas and select retailers, with a price tag of $180.
