It’s finally here. After five years of the adidas Ultra Boost changing very little, adidas has introduced a radical new silhouette to take over the mantle. With the global release coming this week, we also have a first look at an “Active Orange” colorway.

The first thing you’ll probably notice about the new adidas Ultra Boost is that it is radically different from any previous designs. To start, the typical UB tooling has been swapped out for the adidas Speedfactory AM4’s Boost midsole, another sleek running shoe from the brand that is made in their Speedfactory facilities, which brings us to the next big point: the Ultra Boost 2019 will be exclusively manufactured in Speedfactories. With locations already housed on 3 continents, adidas is continuing their expansion of the faster production facilities, making them much more viable for large-scale production. Lastly, while you can’t necessarily see it in the pictures, the upper uses adidas’ new Primknit 360 technology which wraps their signature knit all the way around your foot for a better fit. The Ultra Boost 2019 is about to make its global debut this week and to celebrate, we have a first look at another new colorway. This time around, the knit upper is split into a white and black speckled upper half, and bold Active Orange lower portions.
