The adidas ZX family is adding a new member this year. The Torsion Super builds on the brand’s famous midsole technology, launching in two clean colorways this season.
adidas’ Torsion technology has been around since the 80s. Designed to allow shoes to twist and conform to various running styles, the essential piece is a plastic bar installed on the outsole of the shoe, connecting the heel to the forefoot. Now, a new silhouette built around this piece has arrived, dubbed the Torsion Super. Available early from overseas retailers, the runner-inspired look comes in two initial colorways, black/white, and aqua/white. The Super features a mesh underlay as a base, adding aerodynamic layers in nubuck leather and soft suede. Woven stripes adorn either side of the midfoot, while a Torsion-branded heel counter completes the look.

The all-new adidas Originals Torsion Super has not yet been announced for a global release, though pairs are available early via the UK’s Aphrodite. The black/white and aqua/white colorways come with a price tag of approximately $120, and will see a wider release in the near future.
