adidas Originals released a special-edition Chinese New Year collection this year, available exclusively in Asian countries to celebrate the Spring Festival. Highlighted by the ZX 420, the project was meant to symbolize the Zodiac Year of the Ox for 2021, uniting a small batch of sneakers with eye-catching faux-cow fur uppers. The latest silhouette to join the party is adidas’ Superstar, fresh off of its own anniversary celebration in 2020. The Chinese New Year-edition Superstar features the namesake cow print upper, along with a white midsole and toecap, brown laces, and red inner lining, while Chinese characters on the heels and a brass nose ring typically seen on a bull add depth to the design.

adidas Originals’ latest addition to the 2021 Chinese New Year collection, the cow-print Superstar, has already released overseas from stores like Japan’s atmos and is still available in a selection of sizes for approximately $131.
