The adidas Speedfactory AM4 has become the canvas for all kinds of special edition Three Stripes releases. This month, the brand is celebrating the titular run of the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning with the new AM4TB, available now.

The adidas Speedfactory program is one of the most innovative means of production ever. The facilities are made to design, prototype, and produce new shoes in a matter of months, an unheard of number for the shoe industry. This month, adidas is utilizing their futuristic facility for another limited edition release, this time celebrating the Tampa Bay Lightning’s road to another NHL title. The new special colorway is based on the AM4 model designed for Tokyo, utilizing a fused bonded lacing cage and heel counter in black, each with 3M accents. The Primeknit upper begins with a subtle grey tone, which fades to black closer to the heel. The glue-less and stitch-less upper rests on top of the AM4 Boost midsole, featuring a floating Torsion bar and more Boost than any other adidas sneaker. Finally, the Tampa Bay Lightning’s logo has been grafted to the heel to show alignment with the team.
