The adidas Stan Smith has been one the brand’s main subject so far this year, thanks to the introduction of the SuperStan. Now, the Three Stripes have tapped Japan’s Beauty & Youth for a premium new colorway, available now.
This month, the essential adidas Stan Smith receives a lux new upgrade from Japan’s BEAUTY & YOUTH. While the brand is not a household name in America, many will recognize their parent company as long-time adidas partner United Arrows and Sons. B&Y’s fresh take on the Stan Smith is stunning. The leather upper comes in a smooth light grey-colored tone with black adidas branding around the silhouette, and shiny silver foil for the Stan Smith branding on the heels and lateral sides. The smokey grey upper is paired with a slightly lighter, off-white grey for the heel counter and midsole, which is matched by two sets of laces.

The BEAUTY & YOUTH x adidas Stan Smith Bespoke launched quietly earlier this week, and is currently still available in select sizes via the Japanese label’s website. The beautifully Stan comes with a price tag of approximately $138, a necessary jump for such an uptick in quality.
