The adidas Originals ZX franchise is bringing back more classic silhouettes in 2021, this time extending to include the early numbered ZX models, like the cow print ZX 420 that arrives in stores soon.

The original run of adidas ZX sneakers, marked by numbers in the hundreds, have been mysteriously absent during the brand’s grand revival of the ZX franchise over the past year, save for the odd release here and there. While their appearances are few and far between, we have still seen the ZX 420 and ZX 500 both surface in recent months, the former of which returns in 2021 for a new limited-edition cow-print makeover. Decked out in faux bovine hair across its numerous overlays, the ZX 420 has emerged in official imagery to showcase the latest release from the Originals team. The eye-catching pattern is framed by bright red inner lining and tongue badges, as well as white laces and midsole, and a metal ring attached to the tongue to complete the cow-themed look.
