adidas is no stranger to making seasonal versions of some of their popular products, and 2020 appears to be no different. Today, we have our first look at the Torsion TRDC Mid, a high-cut variation of the classic running silhouette.

adidas Originals’ Torsion TRDC has seen plenty of love from the brand in the past several years since its retro release, arriving on shelves in numerous eye-catching colorways, and even a special collaboration with Berlin’s Solebox. Now. as we ease slowly into Fall and then Winter, adidas has us covered with a new iteration of the TRDC for inclement weather or simply the hiking trails. The Torsion TRDC Mid made its debut overseas this week, meaning a global drop is more than likely on the way sometime this year. Retaining the TRDC’s basic construction of mesh, ripstop nylon, and suede, the Mid version simply adds a higher ankle collar and tongue through the addition of more ripstop, reinforcing it with a foam padding for optimal comfort. The Torsion TRDC Mid made its debut in the “Tech Beige” color scheme, which adds bright purple, blue, and gold elements to an otherwise grey base shoe.

adidas Originals’ new mid-cut version of the retro Torsion TRDC runner launched quietly overseas this week and is now available from retailers like Japan’s Atmos. The hiking-boot inspired silhouette is expected to launch globally in the coming weeks from both adidas and select retailers, with a price tag in the $150+ range.
