adidas’ Originals division has been working on some interesting new silhouettes for 2020, one of which is finally set to debut next week. Titled the Niteball, the latest lifestyle silhouette takes inspiration from the brand’s history in basketball.
adidas Originals’ new releases have been all over the place for 2020, covering everything from running-inspired silhouettes to the all-new Boost slide. However, their latest project has our undivided attention. Taking inspiration from the classic Streetball performance shoe and mixing it with DNA from the modern Nite Jogger lifestyle silhouette, the Niteball is born. The shoe’s shape is somewhat similar to other signature models pioneered by big-name adidas collaborators, yet different enough to stand entirely on its own through the unique design language. From the ground up, the Niteball begins with a toned-down version of the recently revamped Streetball midsole, before transitioning to a heavily-layered upper that makes use of long, swooping cuts and oversized aggressive Three Stripe motifs. The Niteball will come in two eye-catching colorways at launch, one based in Collegiate Navy and the second in a Pink Tint.

The all-new adidas Originals Niteball has been scheduled to make its debut next week, on July 1st, 2020. The new silhouette inspired by some fan-favorite adidas shoes will come with a price tag of just $120 and will launch from both adidas and select retailers.
