Although the V2 is on the market, adidas has still spent time with the OG NMD R1 this year. Now the brand has dressed the fan-favorite sneaker in a clean black colorway which is highlighted with Shock Pink accents.

When the adidas NMD R1 V2 surfaced, many fans did not know what to expect from the original. Would we never see the sneaker again? Will releases be lessened? Was last year the end of the NMD R1? Many things went into sneakerheads’ minds but adidas has put that all to rest with boasting up their production on the original R1.

This iteration arrives in a classic but trendy new take, arriving in Core Black, Signal Pink, and Cloud White. The upper arrives in all black mesh while black detailing continues on the laces and lace eyelets. Everything else is kept standard, a white Boost midsole featuring black EVA pods and a black rubber outsole adorning the bottoms. But to make the colorway, not just a classic black and white offering, Shock Pink paints the Three Stripes branding on the side paneling as well as the heel for a much-needed pop of color.
