Preparing for the upcoming winter season, adidas has taken their standard NMD R1 silhouette and has applied a Quilted material to its classic build.
With the Fall season officially beginning, we’ve started to see the seasonal change in the sneaker industry with darker colors adorning shoes as well as warmer and more durable materials. adidas has been slow to the rollout thus far but now that the colder season is officially among us, it looks like their colder weather renditions are ready to surface and release very soon.
This NMD R1 features a Triple Black colorway that takes the usual primeknit upper and applies a thick quilted material over the shoe. Tonal accents adorn the heel piece, eyelets, branding, and laces while the Boost midsole opts for the same dark aesthetic. Black EVA pods further the dark makeover while a black rubber outsole finishes off the new offering.

The adidas NMD R1 Quilted will be releasing via select retailers and adidas.com for $130 soon although a release date has not been officially scheduled.
