The adidas NMD has come a long way since its debut back in 2015. Now, as it celebrates five years on shelves, the Three Stripes is bringing the NMD_R1 silhouette full circle with new releases of the original Primeknit variation, now with dragon artwork.

The adidas NMD franchise has taken a step back from the limelight in recent years, as adidas forges onward with new technologies, silhouettes, and ideas. However, the influence and change that the NMD_R1 brought for the German sportswear brand cannot be denied, and this year, NMD is celebrating five years on retail shelves. For this special occasion, the Three Stripes have come up with a number of exciting releases to honor the fan-favorite sneaker, like this week’s release of the NMD_R1 Primeknit with embroidered dragon patches. Decked out in all black, this pair features these highly-detailed patches sewn onto the heels of both shoes, paired with a few red threads around the collar to complete the look.
