The adidas Nite Jogger has been a hit for the Originals brand this year, but we have yet to see a rerelease of the original 70s runner. Until this week, when a stealthy 3M pair surfaced on SneakersNStuff’s release calendar.

adidas Originals’ modern take on the vintage Nite Jogger has been a smash hit this year, thanks to a plenty of fantastic reviews (including ours) as well as praise from incluencers around the world. However, many remain unaware about the sneakers true origins as a running shoe built for nighttime jaunts. Originally released in the 1970s, the Nite Jogger was a lightweight, sleek silhouette equipped with plenty of bright colors and reflective elements to make them more visible in the dark. Its been a while since we’ve seen the original, so this new retro release is a welcome sight on release calendars. The latest colorway sees the Three Stripes teaming up with 3M on a tonal grey look. While we haven’t seen any pictures of the reflective accents, its safe to assume there are more than a handful. Finally, the new Nite Jogger OG is finished off with a flexible textile tongue and toggle lacing system.
