adidas Basketball has been incorporating Boost into their new offerings for several years now, and 2019 is no exception. This week, we got an early look at the Marquee Boost 2.0, the follow-up to the Three Stripes most successful hoop shoe from last year.

The adidas Marquee Boost was excellent addition to the Hoops lineup when it was first introduced in 2018. The high-top basketball sneaker was still one of the first to provide full-length Boost cushioning in the midsole, and it was accompanied by a well-supported upper with plenty of protection where you needed it most. However, there’s always room for an upgrade. This week, the Three Stripes shared our first look at the Marquee Boost 2.0. Strikingly similar to the first in its design, the 2.0 begins with the same knit mesh upper as a base layer, stacked with significantly more leather and suede overlays to help keep the shape and keep your foot locked in on the court. New taped portions likely aim to provide targeted support to the sides of each food, while thick leather additions to the toes and heels protect the more sensitive areas from bumps and bruises. The adidas Marquee Boost 2.0 will debut in two initial colorways, one triple black with white accents, and the second in a bright pastel shades of blue, pink, and green.
