adidas always has something new up their sleeve. This month, as we dive deeper into 2019, some of the brands’ upcoming secrets have been revealed, like their latest lifestyle silhouette, the LXCON.
The adidas LXCON is an interesting new look for the Brand with the Three Stripes. The shoe begins with what appears to be a one-piece mesh upper with extra addition for support. First, a translucent tube zigzags back and forth across the upper, acting as a lacing system and extending to the heel as a Lexicon’s pull tabs. Next, three enlarged stripes are laid over each side, giving the shoe adidas’ signature look. The midsole, made from adidas’ adiPRENE+, features sleek new tooling that is marked by a large arc around the heel, which assumably acts similar to the Ultra Boost’s heel counter. So far, we have already seen the silhouette in several colorways on the feet of brand executives like Jon Wexler, and even recent adidas endorsee Jonah Hill. Hill was the first to preview the LXCON back in October at Hypefest, in one of the silhouette’s debut colorways. The look covers the mesh upper in white while highlighting the side stripes in blue and other minor details in plain black. The second debut colorway of the LXCON is much bolder, painting the mesh upper in a neutral sand-like colorway. Then, signature stripes are dyed a vibrant purple, with bright teal accents that also appear elsewhere around the shoe. Finally, this secondary colorway is complete by bold orange laces.
ADIDAS LXCON DEBUT RELEASE INFORMATION
The new adidas LXCON silhouette is finally set to make its debut on February 2nd, 2019. The sleek new look will first release in two colorways retailing for $120 from both adidas and select retailers.
