The adidas LXCON has been a hit since the revamped version debuted earlier this year. Now, adidas is readying the original iteration of the 90’s silhouette for release next month, starting with this sleek purple and white color scheme.

The adidas LXCON first entered the sneaker lexicon of many in the community earlier this year, when the Three Stripes launched a rehauled version of the classic silhouette. Obviously, the shoe has been around for much longer, dating back all the way to 1994. The shoe was originally built as a lightweight runner, constructed from a layered mesh and featherweight leathers combined with an adiPrene sole for a smooth ride. The look of the LXCON 94 was aggressive, too, featuring thick Predator-inspired forward leaning stripes and lines built for speed. Now, adidas is getting ready for a retro release of their latest renovated silhouette.

The first iteration of the adidas LXCON 94 OG to hit retail shelves this year will be one of the shoes first colorways. Beginning with white mesh base layers are accompanied by white overlays. Purple underlays are present along the toe and heel, as well as prominently displayed on the tongue. Finally, black stripes are added to either side in addition to the classic adidas Performance logo on the heel.

The adidas LXCON 94 is set to return on May 1st, 2019, according to a SoleStop listing on Frenzy. The retro style in its original purple color scheme will go for a cool $120 at retail, and release from both adidas and select retailers. UPDATE (May 5th, 2019):
The original adidas Lexicon has not yet surfaced, a surprise given the various releases originally announced for the 1st of the month. However, we are still expecting adidas to release the retro silhouette sometime in the coming weeks.
