Yesterday we got our first look at the adidas LightBlaze Moc, a new style from the Three Stripes that continues their journey with injection molded foam sneakers. Now, a second colorway has emerged, in a “Glow Blue” marbled pattern.
The adidas Yeezy Foam Runner was a pivotal moment in the world of footwear when it debuted back in 2020. Arriving at a time when people were largely staying at home and in need of simple, comfy clothing and sneakers, the Foam Runner was a massive hit. Other brands quickly jumped onto the train with their own slip-on shoes, but after the Ye and adidas fall out, the brand has struggled to replace such a heavy hitter. Enter the LightBlaze Moc.
The new LightBlaze appears to be heavily influenced by the original Yeezy design, coming off as a sportier, more streamlined 2.0 variant. The silhouette drops the bulbous top of the midfoot for a more sleek shape, but keeps the large air holes for ventilation. The shoe also uses LightStrike technology; a first for molded foam sneakers. LightStrike has been used largely in their performance footwear, and begs the question of how they incorporated it into this model, which remains unanswered for now. Today we have an official look at the shoe’s “Glow Blue” color scheme, which mixes white, grey, and light blue in a marbled pattern.
