adidas’ City Series, one of their longest-running projects, is back this month. Returning to Hamburg, Germany, after its first release earlier this year, this month’s drop celebrates the city’s famous Sunday Fish Market. Available now globally.

adidas’ archive of vintage trainers is filled with some of the sneaker world’s most beloved silhouettes, but most remember the range of city-inspired footwear adidas created throughout the late 20th century, particularly in the ’70s and ’80s. This year, adidas has been reviving some of the more pivotal pieces from that collection to create a modern-day version, titled City Series MMXX, or 2020. This month, the global tour returns to Hamburg for the second time this year, this time celebrating the German city’s beloved Sunday fish market. Represented by fish scale leather for the silhouette’s, heel counter and signature Three Stripes, this special-edition pair also pays homage through fish graphics across both insoles as well as the limited edition packaging.
