adidas Originals continues to iterate on the classic Forum sneaker, dropping special new colors and styles on a regular basis. This week, we have an early look at a new “Trefoil Friends” pair, dropping early next year.
The adidas Forum has been everywhere this year, releasing in plenty of colors and iterations for anyone enamored with the vintage basketball silhouette. Most releases of the Forum have remained fairly tame, simply changing around the color blocking or allowing a collaborator to add something extra to the design, but this latest pair we have an early look at is something entirely new. For this release, adidas has turned their famous Trefoil logo into cute little characters, which decorate the shoe as if playing with one another and using the various panels and angles to their advantage. The “Trefoil Friends” (Should we copyright that?) feature a design similar to the work of famed artist Keith Haring, using few discernible details and making them somewhat cartoonish and cute. The shoe also makes use of gesture lines to add some move to the little guys. Otherwise, this pair features a fairly straightforward off-white color scheme, with yellow and grey stripes on the outer sides.
ADIDAS ORIGINALS FORUM LOW “TREFOIL FRIENDS” RELEASE INFORMATION
The upcoming adidas Originals Forum Low, featuring cute little Trefoil characters using the shoe as a playground, has not yet been announced for release, though we expect them to launch sometime early in 2022. The playful new look, featuring neutral color schemes, will be available from both adidas and select retailers, with a price tag of $90 attached.
