Late in 2020, adidas kicked off a string of releases celebrating the 1984 Forum and its contributions to both basketball and footwear history. This month, that celebration continues with the release of the Forum ’84 Low in the classic “Bright Blue” color scheme.
The adidas Forum basketball show first debuted in 1984, replacing the Top Ten as the Three Stripes’ premier basketball shoe. Priced at $100, a nearly unthinkable high for the time, the Forum quickly became the standard for all-leather basketball shoes, thanks to its availability in both low and high formats. Now, the Forum is a piece of history, celebrated as a stepping stone in basketball footwear technology as well as a major influence on adidas design for decades to come. Now, as the Three Stripes celebrate the timeless shoe, the Forum is returning in its original form. This week, we have our first look at the Forum ’84 Low OG which is set to drop in the coming days. Dressed in its original and fan-favorite “Bright Blue” color scheme, this Forum features a mostly white construction with bold blue accents along the inner lining, striping, and midsole.

adidas Originals’ latest release in the ongoing Forum retro revival has been scheduled to release later this month, on January 13th, 2020. The Forum 84 OG Low in the “Bright Blue” makeup will be available from both adidas and select retailers, with the usual price tag of $110 per pair.
