adidas Originals has been balling out this year with new and retro silhouettes. The latest to surface on the brand’s release calendar is the Dimension Low, a reworked 90’s silhouette packed with technology that we still use today.

adidas is really not playing around with their lifestyle sneakers this year. 2018 has already seen the releases of several retro Three Stripes sneakers with modern updates like the Yung-1 and Futurepacer, adidas is not quite done yet. This September, the Originals team will officially revive the adidas Dimension, this time in a low-top format. Originally released in the 1990’s, the Dimension was first designed as a versatile training shoe, using a combination of heavy layering and a neoprene bootie to solidify its performance and its style as a fixture of the 90’s. Surrounding the half-sized bootie is a mixture of suede, mesh, leather, and synthetics. While much of the initial first colorway is covered in white, hits of black as well as deal help to balance out the adidas Dimension with some color. While the silhouette comes to us directly from the 90’s, it brings with it some technology that is still widely used by adidas today, namely the Torsion bar. The thin plastic strip inserted in the sole helps maintain the integrity of the heel and toe, allowing them to perform independently which in turn is healthier for your foot.
