adidas’ Futurecraft 4D technology is beginning its widespread rollout. However, adidas still has some ultra-limited Consortium releases planned, like this Runner Mid 4D scheduled to drop later this week from select high-level adidas retailers.

The adidas Runner Mid 4D first made its debut as Ronnie Fieg’s contribution to the Consortium 4D tour in 2018. The way his “Aspen” Ultraboost Mid became an instant favorite among sneakerheads, spawning several other popular colorways, appears to be happening in the same way with this 4D silhouette.  adidas Consortium’s latest colorway cuts back on the colorful Primeknit that made Ronnie’s colorways so popular, instead opting for a clean tonal look. The upper mixes several different grey tones with white, as well as mint green accents to match the 4D midsole’s recognizable hue. Official photos of the shoe show no insoles from the top down view, indicating your feet will be in direct contact with the sole’s responsive cushioning technology.
