adidas 4D is everywhere right now, as the brand’s 2020 plans for the 3D-printed technology are begginning to roll out. This includes the next iteration of the adidas Consortium Runner, which launched quietly over this past weekend.

adidas’ 4D technology finally became available to the masses in 2019, ending the brand’s extended marketing campaign. The 3D-printed midsoles are currently available for purchase in two different styles, though adidas is getting ready to switch things up and move on to the next generation of silhouettes. While we’ve seen several different new performance and lifestyle versions in the past few weeks, there was an unexpected surprise a few days ago when the Consortium Runner 4D V2 surfaced quietly from the Nice Kicks shop. The first iteration of the sleek silhouette released last year through a series of limited edition collaborations, though it appears this one will be slightly different. The Runner V2 comes with a fresh new look, adding several layers of taped overlays to a performance-inspired Primeknit upper. Padding is added to the heel section of the shoe, locking your feet in place and providing some plush comfort. The first colorway of the Consortium Runner 4D V2 comes in shades of steel blue, grey, and the signature Aero green.
