adidas’ Consortium division is releasing a special pair of the retro Rivalry High basketball shoe this year, cast in soft cream white tones with a metallic silver accent.
The Consortium division at adidas handles the majority of the brand’s special projects, teaming up with a long list of specialty retailers to work on exclusive, story-driven releases. However, sometimes the Consortium team gets a release of their own, drafting limited-edition special releases of classic adidas footwear. This year, that comes in the form of the Rivalry High, a basketball model from 1986. Their version dressed the shoe’s premium leather upper almost entirely in cream white, with subtle hints of grey around the collars and tongues. Metallic silver stripes adorn either side of the shoe, while a metal Consortium-branded eyelet completes the look.
