adidas’ Consortium division has been on somewhat of an outdoor kick the past year, releasing projects like the “Gardening” collection and special adidas Terrex silhouettes. Now, they’re offering up their own take on the outdoors. Check out the FYW XTA Hiker, coming soon.

adidas Consortium’s apparent obsession with the outdoors comes to fruition this week, as the Three Stripes upper-echelon sublabel is finally set to debut its own outdooring sneaker this week. Titled the FYW XTA, the silhouette takes inspiration from several famous adidas shoes and technologies from recent years. To start, the XTA begins with a durable and thick mesh base layer, reinforced by leather and suede overlays along the toebox, mudguard, and midfoot. The tongue features a teeth-like shape to the edges, reminiscent of the FYW-98, as is the Feet You Wear midsole resting underfoot. Thick nylon webbing loops make up the shoe’s lacing system, while an exaggerated hole in the tongue acts as a pull tab. The FYW XTA Hiker will make its debut in a sandy brown colorway, mixed with black overlays and hits or safety orange to complete the look.
