adidas Originals Campus has been a high point in the brand’s arsenal over the last few years, releasing in plenty of limited-edition and standard colorways in that time. This week, the gets a suede makeover, remixing some of the panels for wild new color blocking.

adidas’ Campus ’80 silhouette first reemerged as an essential piece of the Three Stripes offerings several years ago, as sneakerheads and general style drifted towards simple, classic silhouettes. Originally released in the 1970s under the name “Tournament”, the silhouette was later renamed to Campus in the 1980s. Available in a variety of materials, colorways, and versions, the Campus is a perfectly suitable candidate for the retro wave, and adidas has been releasing wonderful new releases regularly for the past few years. This week, the classic court-turned skate shoe emerged in a new suede construction and sporting a highly unique color blocking that breaks the Campus’ few panels into many. Divided into sections in black, grey, maroon, and navy blue, the wild construction of this pair does not seem to follow any sort of guide, rather the color placement seems to be driven by the goal of not having the same shade overlapping with itself. The result is a highly unique build for the Campus, breaking the shoe into new sectionals that otherwise would not have been obvious.
