The adidas Alphaedge is the brand’s most widely available offering of their 4D midsole technology, and this week the silhouette got a little more interesting. Check out the new reflective 3M colorways, dropping next week.

adidas’ collaborative 3D-printed midsole technology, developed alongside California’s Carbon, has had a somewhat slow start off the line since it was announced two years ago. 2019 changed things, finally giving anyone (with enough spare change) to try out the wildly futuristic technology for themselves, thanks to the Alphaedge 4D, the first mass-produced silhouette in the category. Now, the Three Stripes are upgrading the premiere 4D running shoe with a slightly updated construction and some shiny new features. The last release of the silhouette saw three colorways, black, white, and an Aero Green pair built from Parley for the Oceans recycled ocean waste yarn. With the latest version, adidas is combining these three, for two new black and white colorways constructed from the recycled material, and as an added bonus, infused with Scotchlite’s reflective 3M threads. The 4D technology underfoot remains in its signature shade of green for this release.
