adidas Futurecraft technology is steadily gaining more and more hype from the sneaker community. To combat this, adidas has introduced the AlphaEdge 4D LTD, releasing to the public in limited quantities during the NBA’s All-Star Weekend.

adidas and Carbon are preparing to be the next big hit in footwear. Futurecraft has been a hit ever since the first seeding pairs were given to brand representatives and influencers late in 2017. Slowly, but surely, adidas is bringing the new midsole to a global scale. The technology debuted on a simple Primeknit runner, released in extremely limited numbers. The Futurecraft 4D sole, engineered by Carbon, is finally making the move onto the AlphaEdge, a new running silhouette from the Three Stripes that evolves the extremely popular AlphaBounce line. The collar of this new shoe is higher than that of it’s predecessor, a feature added for a comfortable, more form-fitting ride. The upper is constructed from varying levels of a lightweight, breathable mesh. While early iterations of Futurecraft shoes carried Primeknit across the upper, there is no mention of the patented Three Stripes material in the announcement. The new silhouette will be made available in three colorways for this release, “Ash Green”, “Grey Aero” and the classic “Core Black.” Limited exclusively to Los Angeles for the first release, this pair is going to be tough to get your hands on for now.

The release procedure for the new AlphaEdge 4D LTD silhouette indicates that this will be an extremely limited drop. The shoes will be made available for reservation in the adidas app tomorrow, February 12th through February 15th. Reservations are ONLY for adidas retail locations in the Los Angeles area. Pairs will be available for pickup on the 17th. Additionally, some adidas Consortium accounts (BAIT, Undefeated, Nice Kicks) in the LA area will receive a small stock, which will be raffled off by each store.
