The Aloha Super is back. After over a year away from retail shelves, Mark Gonzales’ signature adidas sneaker is back with another special-edition release. Decked out in bark brown, this pair pays homage to Mark’s part in the famous Krooked Kronichles video.
Mark Gonzales’ signature adidas Aloha Super has only seen a total of four colorways since it launched back in 2018. The silhouette has largely been used as a canvas for Gonz and the Three Stripes to explore some of the skater-turned-artist’s biggest moments, with special colorways thus far celebrating the Wallenberg Ollie as well as the Städtisches Museum performance. The next release is no different, this time taking inspiration from Mark’s part in the Krooked Kronichles video, as well as the brown leather jacket worn by Spike Jonze during the filming of said part. The Aloha Super takes on a matching shade of bark brown across the entirety of the suede upper, with hints of baby blue on the Gonz Shmoo logo as well as the shoe’s insoles. The project goes the extra mile by naming itself after Gonz’ pseudonym, Karol Winthrop, used when he made his silver screen debut as the video’s casting director.

The latest colorway of Mark Gonzales’ adidas Skateboarding Aloha Super has finally been scheduled to release later this month, on December 11th, 2020. The bark brown colorway in celebration of Gonz’ part of the Krooked Kronichles video will be available from select adidas SB accounts like Premier for just $90.
