adidas and Anthony Edwards are shortening the time between signature models for the NBA star. This week, we have our first look at the third installment, the AE3, coming this Fall.
The signature sneaker line for Anthony Edwards from adidas went through a bit of a rocky patch after the debut AE1 model. The shoe was immensely successful, gathering SOTY nominations and plenty of praise from both fashion communities and players for its style and functionality. However, the silhouette stayed on the market for nearly two years, much longer than your typical signature’s year-long run. Reportedly, Edwards was not happy about the original direction for the AE2, and adidas moved up their planned third model into the sophomore spot, creating a delay as they had to drop everything to get the new model out. Now, it appears they’ve amended this issue with design for the new third model, the AE3. Seen here in a striking “Lucid Pink” colorway, the model features a mesh upper with plastic overlays running down each side. The look is visually similar to both predecessors, while the cage system makes it stand out on its own. In the future, we’d hope to see the cage used for more color blocking opportunities, but for now the important detail is price; the AE3 is expected to maintain an affordable price tag of just $130.

ADIDAS AE3 “LUCID PINK” RELEASE INFORMATION
adidas has yet to announce any formal launch date for the upcoming AE3 basketball shoe, though this “bold”Lucid Pink” colorway is expected to arrive on November 20th, 2026. We could see the model debut around the start of the NBA season, but the AE2 is doing so well adi could delay the next-gen model a bit. Pairs of the AE3 will be available through adidas and select retailers, maintaining an approachable price tag of $130.
