Anthony Edwards’ second signature basketball shoe from adidas arrived last Fall, and the NBA superstar is starting to make more moves in the off-court footwear space. This Fall, the AE Mule will expand his catalog.
Performance footwear has changed a lot in the last few years, with companies like Nike, New Balance, and adidas constantly innovating and iterating on their footwear technologies. One factor that has arisen in recent years is pre- and post-game footwear, with ‘recovery’ shoes being touted as equally important to performance shoes themselves. These recovery models often come in the form of molded foam slip-ons, and Anthony Edwards sneaker line is leaning in this direction with the new AE Mule. Expanding his line of signature footwear, the new model is expected to land in Fall 2026, and incorporates the visual language of his basketball shoes into a simple, easy slip-on shoe. The ‘tongue’ area sports the AE logo, with sharp teeth-like cutouts running down each side. The model will launch in the soft “Bliss Blue” color seen above.
ADIDAS AE MULE “BLISS BLUE” RELEASE INFORMATION
Anthony Edwards and adidas have not announced the NBA star’s new off-court sneaker option yet, but the AE Mule is expected to launch on October 1st, 2026. The new open-backed slide mimics some of the design language from Edwards’ performance sneakers, and will come in the soft “Bliss Blue” shade seen above for its debut. Pairs will be available through adidas & select retailers for just $70.
