This year adidas introduced adiFom, a new foam technology for their shoes’ soles as well as for use in full-foam slip-on models. Now, the Superstar is getting an adiFom makeover, coming soon.
Foam sneakers have been everywhere this year, providing a new and comfortable way to make single-piece sneakers in slip-on forms. The trend started with the Yeezy slides and Foam Runners over the past two years, a move that has transformed the sneaker market ever since. Now, adidas has adiFom, a lightweight and plush material being used across their arsenal of sneakers, most notably in the FoamQuake silhouette that debuted earlier this year. Now, the adiFom Superstar has emerged, transforming the classic basketball shoe into a comfortable clog-like model. Launching in the Superstar’s famous black & white color schemes, the shoe features a topography-inspired texture across the body, with larger ripple-like ridges running down the front of the shoe.
