The next installment in Warner Bros’ Wonder Woman franchise is currently slated for an October release, and to celebrate, the studio has teamed up with Reebok for a special gold colorway of the Classic Leather, based on the WW golden eagle armor from the film.
Typically, movie tie-in sneakers can be extremely hit or miss. For every outstanding collaboration, there are a handful more that are…less desirable. Luckily for us, this week Reebok is dropping a crash course on how to nail one of these projects, which sees them taking on the task of creating a Wonder Woman-inspired sneaker. The silhouette for the occasion is the Classic Leather, a staple of the Reebok arsenal. Themed after the upcoming Wonder Woman: 1984 movie set to release this year, the WW Classic Leather is directly inspired by the new golden armor she’ll be sporting in the movie (which is pulled directly from the Elseworld’s Kingdom Come storyline for all my DC nerds out there). The Classic is covered with an all-over metallic gold finish, right down to the quilted, armor-like interior lining. Wonder Woman branding on the heels and insoles completes the look.

The upcoming project from Warner Brothers and Reebok, highlighting the new Wonder Woman 1984 movie with a golden Classic Leather, has been scheduled to debut tomorrow, August 22nd, 2020, from Reebok and Amazon at 1 PM EST, while the entirety of the collection is set to drop on September 16th. The dipped-in-gold iteration of the Classic Leather will be available from both Reebok and select retailers with a price tag of just $100.
