Jordan Brand and UCLA Agree to a Multi-Year Partnership

Over the last couple of years, Jordan Brand has secured partnerships across the nation with some of the top athletic and academic schools the country has to offer and now they have secured UCLA, the #1 public university in the nation to a multi-year deal in which they will supply all athletic apparel for.

Originally set to be in an active 15-year long contract with Under Armour that would expire in 2032, due to the pandemic, Under Armour was allowed to void the contract due to the postponement of the PAC-12 season earlier this year. While the two are still at a legal war over the contract termination, UCLA has found a new home within the Jumpman family that will go into effect on July 1st, 2021, and last for six years after. For UCLA it seemed to be a no-brainer, “UCLA is elite, and our student-athletes deserve every resource in their pursuit of excellence. We sought to partner with the best in the world; that is Nike and Jordan Brand,” UCLA athletic director Martin Jarmond said in an official statement. “Going into this process, our top priority was to secure the best quality and most innovative product to help our student-athletes and coaches compete for championships.” Officially licensed apparel will be made available for fans all across the nation next Fall and sneakerheads can expect UCLA PE’s to surface very soon. The agreement comes as a surprise to many but with the recent incline of Jordan Brand exiting out of just basketball wear, UCLA men and women athletics shine a light onto the brand like never before.
