Reebok’s recent wave of brand-related collaborations has brought an enormous amount of nostalgia to the sneaker world. This season, they’ve teamed up with Street Fighter for a collection, including this ‘Zangief’ Instapump Fury.
Reebok and Street Fighter have teamed up for a new collection of footwear, ahead of the highly anticipated release of Street Fighter 6 sometime in 2023. Taking characters from the original games, Reebok’s team has applied each fighter’s unique color palette and details to their classic sneakers, from the Club C and Classic leather to the Shaq Attack. This week, the Instapump Fury joined the collection, taking on a bloody red palette inspired by Zangief, the Russian-born seven foot-tall grappler covered in scars from wrestling bears in Siberia. His version of the Instapump begins with a black base layer, adding blood red suedes to the toe caps and midsections, wtih accents in cream white along the tongues and inner lining. The insoles are decorated with Zangief’s 16-bit profile photo, as well as the famous ‘Fight!’ graphic from the original games.

Reebok’s upcoming release of the Street Fighter Instapump Fury ‘Zangief’ has been scheduled to release at the end of the month, on October 29th, 2022. Dressed in red, black, and cream tones, pairs will be available directly from the the brand’s website as well as select retailers, though no price tag has been revealed yet.
