STORY mfg. and Reebok have announced a new collaboration this week, merging STORY’s environmentally-friendly production methods and designs with Reebok’s classic Club C and Beatnik for a vegan-safe two-pack of sneakers, coming soon.
STORY mfg.’s products begin with an idea: to create items that are equal in consciousness as they are to aesthetics. This means crafting products thoughtfully and deliberately, using dyes that are safe for the environment, and limiting any waste of materials to a bare minimum. This process has informed STORY’s designs for years, and has now landed them in a collaborative relationship with fellow United Kingdom brand Reebok for an exciting project featuring the Club C and Beatnik sandal. STORY mfg.’s take on the classic Reebok Club C & Beatnik features a uniform construction across the two-pack of sneakers, casting each pair in vegan construction. Both shoes uppers’ are constructed from undyed vegan linen textile, and prominently display an embroidered blue peace sign on the lateral sides of each shoe. The Beatnik’s puffer-like upper is filled with recycled materials for insulation, while the rear ankle strap is removable to switch the shoe into a simple mule. The Club C also adds some additional details in the form of the “Forage for Wisdom with STORY mfg.” tongue badge, and a clear gum rubber outsole.
STORY MFG. X REEBOK “VEGAN” PACK RELEASE INFORMATION
The upcoming collaboration between STORY mfg. and Reebok Classics, highlighting the Club C trainer and Beatnik sandal, has been scheduled to debut next week on February 4th, 2021 from STORY, followed by a global release at select stockists on February 6th. The non-dyed Club C will come with a price tag of $120, while the Beatnik comes in at $130.
