Japanese outdoor brand South2 West8 has unveiled their debut footwear collaboration with Reebok, applying a jacquard camo upper to the Zig Kinetica, dropping this week.
South2 West8 is a somewhat unlikely brand to reach the forefront of hyped streetwear, given the brand’s basis in fishing, specifically, the traditional Japanese method of fly fishing called Tenkara. Founded in 2003, the brand recently made its way to the united states through the Nepenthes retail store, and has entered the world of beloved Japanese streetwear. Now, S2W8 has teamed up with Reebok to debut a brand new footwear collaboration, applying their unique colors and patterns to the Zig Kinetica II Edge. The pair begins with a jacquard camouflage base adding teal blue suede overlays across the toes, lacing system, and heels. The midsole comes in a mix of speckled black and grey, with the rubbed Vibram outsole cast in black. Bright webbing accents are seen on the toes and heel pull tabs, while South2 West8 branding on the tongues and outer toe box complete the look.

The upcoming Reebok Zig Kinetica II Edge by Japanese outdoor brand South2 West8 has been scheduled to debut this week on November 5th at the brand’s Japanese stores, followed by a global drop on November 18th. The colorful take on the outdoor-ready Zig Kinetica will come with a price tag of $170, releasing from both Reebok and select retailers.
