New Balance and SneakersNStuff are gearing up to unveil their first project of 2022, though an early look has already surfaced. The project includes three colorways of the 991, calling back to the collaborators’ original release together.

The relationship between Swedish retailer SneakersNStuff and New Balance began in 2005, when the pair released the ‘Round 1’ 577. Originally intended to be a single colorway based on the Swedish flag, the blue panels on the production models came back in an entirely different color, resulting in the teal and yellow look. The grey, black, and white sample was included in the release as well, all three pairs made in an edition just 96 of each. Now, SNS and New Balance are recreating the same three-pack with three pairs of the 991 Made in England. Each pair captures their predecessors perfectly, constructed from premium materials including a perforated leather base layer for each.
