Saucony has another exclusive release on their hands for this month. Teaming up with New Orlean’s Sneaker Politics and Cafe Du Monde, this new Shadow 5000 pays homage to the shop’s coffee and beignet’s through a beautiful new color scheme.

Saucony’s collaborative projects over the past few years are simple undefeated. This is in part for a number of reasons, that they choose their partnerships well, and pay extremely close attention each and every detail of the shoe. Regardless, when they announce a new release, I am listening intently. This week, they’ve outdone themselves.

This week’s release from Saucony Originals takes a trip down to New Orleans for some good old coffee and beignets. Teaming up with Sneaker Politics and Cafe Du Monde, the city’s most famous cafe, the three partners have created a beignet-themed Shadow 5000 set to release this week. The silhouette’s luxurious upper has been layered with various shades of brown to represent the dough of the famous pastries, as well as Cafe Du Monde’s world-famous cafe-au-laits. White accents adorn the tongue and heel tabs for a milky look, while a flash of green on the insoles and outsoles, mimicking the wax paper beignets are delivered inside of.

The latest work from Saucony and Sneaker Politics is ready to release later this week on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019. The limited edition Shadow 5000 created in partnership with Cafe Du Monde will be available exclusively at Sneaker Politics New Orleans, carrying a retail price of $180.
