Saucony popped up in Paris for Fashion Week recently, bringing tons of upcoming heat to show off for the year to come. Westside Gunn tagged along, bringing with him a “Spider-Man”-themed pack of his Omni 9.
Westside Gunn’s work with Saucony continues to catch our attention, despite only one sneaker making it to shelves so far. Their partnership started in 2024, with Gunn announcing his ties to the brand in October, teasing a colorful pair of the ProGrid Triumph 4 soon after. Saucony has been making running footwear since the late-1800s, and this partnership was one of their first steps into the world of high-profile collaborations. So far, both parties seem to be having plenty of fun designing loud takes of retro runners, kicking off their releases with the “Super Flygod” pair last year. However, releases have been quiet since then, though Gunn has shared early looks at a number of projects, adding a new one to the list just last week.
Westside Gunn accompanied Suacony to Paris Fashion Week last month, participating in their showroom activation to tease some of his upcoming work with the brand. The “Awesome Gods” Jazz 9 was on full display, but I’m more captivated by what he was wearing on feet. Gunn showed up in a bold red pair of the Omni 9, complete with a black webbing pattern and blue accents. Immediately recognizable as Spider-Man’s colors, the shoe is one of the most faithful adaptations of the Webhead’s iconic costume we’ve seen in sneaker form. Shortly after teasing that colorway, a second pair popped up, altering the look to feature a blue base, red webbsing, and accents in silver and black. This pair is closer to Miguel O’Hara’s Spider-Man 2099 costume, making an excellent pack nodding to two iconic Spidey suits ripped straight from the comics.
WESTSIDE GUNN X SAUCONY OMNI 9 “SPIDER-MAN” PACK RELEASE INFORMATION
The new colorways of Saucony’s ProGrid Omni 9 from Westside Gunn do not have any official release information yet, though we hope to see this pack land sometime later in 2026 or early ’27. The shoes do not appear to directly use any Spider-Man related trademarks, but the colors and web pattern are more than enough to see where the inspiration comes from. Stay tuned for further updates regarding a wide release of these new styles.
